There is more inside of you than you even know. You have a message, something that matters to you… something you would share with somebody….why have it leave the earth when you leave the earth?
You have a voice on a particular topic. You already have a voice, but when you write that book – you’ll embrace it and other people will embrace it. Literally, you will have written the book on something! “This person wrote the book on… … …” (whatever they’re good at). Well that’s you!!
If you’re good at having a healthy structure in your life and you write a book on that – you wrote the book on healthy structure – so now you kind of accept it and embrace it – that this is a role you have, this is a way you can help people, something others need, so they can get it from you.
How Do You Know What to Write About?
These questions will help literally anybody:
- What do you do (or are paid to do) that you’ve done for more than 30 hours? (In your whole life) You simply have to know more than the average person. You don’t have to be an expert. Statistically, if you’ve spent 30 hours or more doing a particular thing, you now know more than the average person.
- What do you like to do for your hobby? For fun?
- Ask yourself – what have I been through? It doesn’t have to necessarily be dark and difficult, eg. buying a home, selling a home, foreclosure, you’ve been married a while and learned something….
- If you were asked to speak to your ideal group of people and you have one month to prepare – what would you want to talk about? What are you passionate about?
You can write about literally anything. Whatever you want to talk about – health and beauty, raising children, your exercise routine, etc. Talk about that! Whatever is your area of expertise. Any topic that will help other people, or will build the kingdom of God when it comes from a kingdom perspective.
Whatever you write is going to help the lives of people and assist them in practical ways. You might not feel like an expert, but you do have authority to talk about what you know. You can literally help someone who is starting out, to bridge the gap to get to where you are now, and get there a whole lot quicker than having to learn the lessons the hard way for themselves.
These are just a few good reasons to write a book. I will add more soon. You have a book in you!! Yes, YOU!!
Thank you for your wonderful encouragement! πβ€
